We know we are a bit of a curiosity shop and the children love coming in. We don't mind them coming in as long as they keep their voices down and are not rowdy as we have newborns and babies in the shop. Please can you explain this to them and we may have mothers feeding babies too, we don't take cash - some use their phones to pay already - any problems with items they have bought just message the page or pop in and see the managers. Explain to them we do have cctv inside and out. Also could you remind them to be respectful of our entertainment sheds - honesty payments in the community and why they are there- to promote recycling, awareness and help Mothers with babies and children. Also if we are giving away large quantities of food outside the shops such as pumpkins/veg/bread stacks not to throw it around or damage it as its to feed people/animals and prevent landfill. Again they are children and things like our concepts may be new to them and they just may simply not realise why these item are there and given they opportunity they may take bread or a pumpkin home for tea for their Mums or neighbours in the future. We are also trying to take the stigma out of foodbanks and promote food and other items not going to landfill and by them picking up a loaf of bread on the way home they are actually helping the community and prevent landfill and promoting the environment 😀 Thanks everyone .
