When I did my student training in midwifery theatre and birthing centre as part of my nursing training; every time a baby was born the Clinical Midwifery Lead was there. She may not have been there through out the birth but she was there in the back ground to over see every birth just at that very moment. I felt supported knowing that as a nursing student doing my mandatory Midwifery training.
