Public Notice: The council has served the landlord with legal documentation that they cannot rent pontypool 1 shop until the roof/leaks are fixed as it has caused mould. The landlord and rental agency were informed on November 2025 and several times after that. The landlord had been in the shops several times to view the areas that needed work. The council were aware of the mould previously and November 2025 because they came out to view it and mentioned that they were investigating the mould and chasing up the landlord November 2025. We then started emptying relevant areas. The council have not condemned the stock or our equipment and given us permission to remove items which the landlord is aware of. So my advice as the baby bank director would be to anyone who was in the shop from November 2025 as a customer or volunteer :- Contact GP for a baseline in respiratory problems and explain the situation (This is more for volunteers).
